The very basic & run down chalet we stayed at on Lake Victoria called "Kisumu beach Resort" , all for 1000 Kenya shillings each for a bed , ( R80.00 each ) . Don't let the name fool you , I had visual of a white sandy beach , palm trees & beautiful facilities , on the contrary , it is the total opposite , no beach at all , stinky green poluted water & refuse lying every where , what a dissapointment, but the beds & linen was clean & we were tired.
Tea plantations
The rift valley is at an altitude of 1200m @ Kisumu , the scenary was breath taking with with rolling lush green hills as far as you can see, with very comfortable riding weather.
New school teachers , outside a teachers training college having a dancing session , outside the college , at their main gate so the passing traffic could view & partake.
