This is 184 yarns , spun together, to create thicker , stronger fibres. We were invited by the director of "KEN KNIT (K) LTD. " , Mr Raj Shah to take a tour of his cotton mill factory in Eldoret , he employees 2000 staff . This is a familly owned business , with textile machines going back to the 1950's . Mr Raj Shah is also the owner of the "Nariberi" camp & resort where we stayed , I can highlly recommend it.

This machines rewinds the rolls of yarn into a smoother roll , making the use there of more efficient. |

The factory has its own machine , engineering shop where they make their own parts for the machines as parts are not readilly available due to the age of the machines. |

Embroidery machine , one of the few computerised machines that embroiders about 20 items at a time.The factory makes most of the school jerseys for all the schools in Kenya. |
